A Vegas Thanksgiving

I live in Utah. I always host Thanksgiving- which I do love- but as most of you may know, hosting Thanksgiving consists of countless hours of preparation, shopping, cooking, decorating- more cooking, and then... the day comes, and its gobbled up in about 10 minutes. I am now tired just writing about it!

This year.. my baby sister got married = her turn to host!
All the fam drove to Vegas where she is living with her new husband.
Kelene dances for Donny & Marie at the Flamingo. I have seen this show a handful of times. My little 8 year old, Noah, wanted to see it- and surprisingly, he loved it!

*off subject* I love Michael Jackson. Great little piece of trivia here: Puppy Love was intended for Michael Jackson, not Donny! RIP Michael.
Any Dancing with the Stars fanatics out there? If you go to the Donny and Marie Las Vegas show- you will find Donny's mirror-ball trophy from his 9th season win. Marie was on DWTS the year before, received 3rd place. Her glass case shows off her doll. :)
There were 13 of us in my little sisters apartment for Thanksgiving Dinner- being "together" with family was an understatement!

The little boys wrestle, little girls color & the big boys show off their bellies... wow.

*off subject* My Mother has come to "expect" a year in review photo book each Christmas- it just adds to the stress, but somehow I get er done. The first one I gave her she cried tears of joy, now I am just in trouble if its not under the tree.

I took little Jaycee's photo from above and created this 10x10 layout for the 2010 G'ma Photo Book.  I am only half way done- argh. I am using Cinzia Loosemore's Grateful Heart layered 12x12 Album this year- love it.

After creating this Thanksgiving word-overlay, I figured, I may as well let you all download it!

You can download the overlay for free HERE.
Hope you had happy thanksgiving all over the world!

Behind the Scenes- volume 1

It is difficult to show the "Persnickety difference" via the web. Print quality is such that you need to hold it- touch it-- you know what we mean.
When you hear Photo Paper- what do you think? The 100 pack of 8.5x11 you can buy at the store? True silver halide photo paper does not use ink.
"These prints are processed through the same chemicals as your good old film pictures, and are the most archival.
This is completely a chemical process, there's no ink to run or bleed. These prints will last hundreds of years if stored properly in acid free photo albums and in photo frames away from direct sunlight. Since the printing of this type of photo is controlled by the lab staff, color corrections can be made to the prints. The lab is able to make your pictures lighter, darker and improve the color saturation."

2011 Memory Logbook Review

  1. Do you scrapbook in chronological order?
  2. Are you all caught up?
  3. Do you have a photographic memory?

IF you answered NO to any of these questions - you NEED a Memory Logbook!
and let me tell you why...

"We are here to help you capture your everyday life – the memories and milestones, the serious and the funny, the ordinary and the extra special … all of those things that you’d like to be able to look back on someday and really remember. The stuff that you’ll want to share with your kids and grandkids. The thoughts and moments and experiences you might not realize are important now but later will become your most treasured memories." -LYM

Life is short. Live it. Love it. Retain it- with the help of Log Your Memory!

I don't know about you, but I answered NO to question 1, 2, and 3. I am not good at memory keeping.
I have never used a Memory Logbook.
Why hasn't anyone told me about it? This is the greatest invention ever! I now have the Memory Logbook 2011: Jan to June Print Edition in my hands- and can't wait to get started! To see more details about this little jewel.. click here.. I want to share what I am excited about-

Why I can't wait to use my 2011 Memory Logbook:
1. I take pictures of the same things every year.
Birthdays, Holidays, First Day of School... blah.. blah.. I have never thought to take a picture of my favorite place- my bed! Real, everyday life is what it's all about. With the 2011 Memory Logbook- I am reminded of these things. Each month there is a theme with a coordinating quote and loads of photo ideas.

2. Themes make you think outside the box.
The 2011 theme for the year is "This Is My Life". While your kids, family and friends are all important- what about YOU? It's time to hand over the camera and be in a few.

3. Memory Calendar Only.
I can't wait for 2011- so I can get started already! I am going to use my Memory Logbook Calendar only to log special moments, or funny things my kids say. They grow up so fast!

4. Daily events, doodles and notes.
I have an iPhone, I have iCal on my computer, I could take notes on these electronic devices, but it just isn't the same! I am planning on keeping my Logbooks forever, as a handwritten journal.

5. Checklists and Reminders.
Lets face it- I am getting old. I can only remember so much these days. Not only do I need to "log" my memories- I need a reminder to log my memories, so so sad.
This 2011 Memory Logbook has just that- plenty of reminders. A challenge checklist and your own personal memory assistant with reminder emails!
At least once per week, you will receive an email via your inbox or mobile device with details about the current Memory Logbook Weekly Challenge with helpful tips, chat & event information, etc. etc.

And that my friends, is the top 5 reasons of why I need a Memory Logbook.

Creating a Custom Photo Book

Our online uploading company is working on a "blank" page option for photobooks- until then, this is the best way to create a photo book with your own digital layouts.

Yeah!! Blank Template Option is NOW Available!

Keep in mind that our templates are completely customizable.

REMEMBER>  Bleed on photo books is much LARGER than our regular photographic single page prints. We recommend leaving at least .25" on each side of your layout.
Also, it is important to take the spine/gutter into consideration when laying out your photobook.
-currently, we are not able to ship photobooks outside of the U.S.

We are famous for our photographic single page prints, they are the most archival, waterproof, and true to color. Photobooks are a different story-  here is our own take on photo books
